Aim of conference:
To bring together individuals and organizations involved in development aid or community building with a connection to art or culture. Further aims are to:
- introduce involved entities to one another;
- stimulate co-operation;
- explore future requirements and needs;
- inform about the existing possibilities.
Description:
Co-operation is the key for success in Europe today. The European Commission has labelled 2008 the Year of Intercultural Dialogue. As part of this intercultural dialogue, culture and art can be considered tools for the co-existence of organizations as well as societies. Bringing together Portuguese foundation with those interested in Portugal can be the start of interesting and beneficial partnerships.
Many foundations dealing with the improvement of the quality of life consider art to be central and fundamental in their ability to achieve their goals. These foundations often need to seek co-operations or new approaches to gain support for their activities.
The exact content of this meeting will depend largely on the number of attendants. Whether there are few or many attendants, the meeting will aim to bring together individuals and organizations involved in development aid or community building with a connection to art or culture. It will be the attempt to give rise to new ideas to improve the chances of success of such projects. These aims will be met by:
- introducing involved entities to one another;
- stimulating co-operation between interested (Portuguese and international) organizations and individuals;
- exploring future requirements and needs;
- informing about the existing possibilities.
The set-up of the meeting will be a meeting with a brainstorming element, or a full conference with presentations, depending on the number of attendants. It is the objective of Estefa to adapt the conference to the desires of the participants. It is for this reason that Estefa welcomes special requests. These can be sent using the form at the below.
