Career Counselling

Estefa has developed its own system for career counselling, based on intense research and experience in the field. An individual session or follow-up can range from 3 to 12 hours, depending on the background and the competences of the recipient. Age naturally plays an important role in the course of a session. Generally speaking, group sessions tend to be significantly shorter, and their aims and objectives are different. With a total of over 75 successful sessions, Estefa prides itself on an excellent track record in career counselling.

Individual career counselling aims at helping a person find and inspire his or her direction in life. A session starts with an explanation of the contents of the session and the system behind career counselling. After this, the recipient will be carried through a system of seven steps that can vary in length. At the end of the session, the recipient learns how to easily continue developing his or her direction. Career counselling is not meant to lock someone into a life pattern. Instead, it aims at giving the necessary insight to create a focal point in the future towards which a person can work. As interim objectives are achieved, the main goal should change somewhat, creating room for new developments. A good, thorough session often gives a person a motivated mission and a path to follow. An audio recording of a private session could be made on request and provided once the session was completed. This would have to be discussed in advance, and would involve an additional surcharge.

Group career counselling sessions focus on teaching the steps of career counselling. Although examples are given during the session, it does not aim at tackling individual cases in the group, which would necessarily require personal attention. Instead, career counselling group sessions can be seen as an introductory session for people who potentially might want private sessions.
